PURPOSE: To increase the speed of room temperature rise when starting heating operation by installing a forced convection fan which is placed below a heat exchanger and can be operated only when heating operation is started in terms of a heating device which heat-exchanges indoor air with the heat of the heat exchanger, using natural convection flowing upwards.
CONSTITUTION: There are installed a heat exchanger 2 which heats indoor by heat-exchanging indoor air and a combustion unit 3 which supplies combustion gas to the heat exchanger 2 inside a main body case 1. During normal heating operation, an indoor air is introduced from an intake port 4 installed to the lower part of the main body case 1. Heated air is exhausted from an outlet 5 installed to the upper part of the main body case 1. More specifically, natural convection of air flowing upwards produces heat exchange. In this case, a forced convection fan 6 is installed below the heat exchanger 2 in order to forcibly convect the air at the heat exchanger 2. The forced convection fan is operated only when heating operation is started, thereby speeding up a rise in the room temperature when starting heating operation.
