To provide a high temperature healing body by the use of feeble current and low voltage, which can be used for both alternating and direct current, by forming a heating body out of activated carbon fibers.
Activated carbon fibers 1 are formed out of pure carbon fibers over which porous micron fibers are piled up, and are very effective resistors in electric conduction. Since the aforesaid fibers 1 are originally manufactured for adsorbing odor gas, the diameter of each fiber is of an extra-fine specified micron, and furthermore its aperture area per gram is as specified so as to be great in resistance. For this reason, the fibers emit great resistant heat by feeble current and low voltage. On the occasion of connecting positive and negative electrodes with a heating body, a conductive electrode 3 is mounted thereto because the fibers 1 are soft and weak raw material, and because feeble current is entirely of isoelectric conduction. Besides, with the exception of sealing the fibers in laminated glass, in order to be safe even in the case of feeble current and low voltage, or even if any accident takes place, the fibers 1 are sheathed with insulating armoring material 6, sewing in a measure shape is performed over the armoring material 6 for preventing the fibers 1 from being broken and one-sided, and its strength is thereby maintained.
