To provide a heating furnace which can be easily constructed when a plurality of blocks are used for constructing a portion where a supporting force from below is extremely weak in the heating furnace, and prevents the structure from crumbling and the blocks from falling off, and a method for manufacturing the heating furnace.

The heating furnace 1, at least one wall thereof is composed of: a beam 15 which extends in a horizontal direction; a plurality of lock members 151 which are vertically held on the beam 15 at proper length intervals and have flanges 151c which formed in the lower portion and extending in the horizontal direction; and a plurality of blocks 2 which has an H-shaped cross section, both wide end portions 2a and a narrow intermediate portion 2b, and is composed of a refractory material. The block 2 is inserted between the lock members 151 adjacent to an upper end portion of a block 2 on a top stage, and supported by the flange 151c. Upper end portions of blocks 2 in the lower stages are sequentially inserted between intermediate portions of the blocks 2 adjacent to the upper stages and supported by the lower end portions thereof, and the plate-like wall is composed of the plurality of blocks 2.
