PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat medium heating device for heating a heat medium with high cost efficiency by using information on an electricity unit price in which a unit price changes in dependence on a time zone when electricity is used.SOLUTION: A heat medium heating device 2 is a device that secures a scheduled amount of heat medium at a planned temperature at a scheduled time. The heat medium heating device 2 includes an HP (heat pump) unit 6, a tank 10, a controller 110, and a management device 121. The controller 110 carries out boiling operation of the HP unit 6 such that water of the tank 10 becomes a target temperature. The management device 121 acquires an electricity unit price dependent on a time zone and an estimated outside air temperature. The controller 110 sets a plurality of times (temporary times) before the scheduled time, calculates an electricity cost required when it is presumed that boiling operation is started at each temporary time so that the scheduled amount of a heat medium can be secured at the planned temperature at the scheduled time on the basis of the information acquired by the management device 121, and starts boiling operation at a temporary time when an electricity cost is the lowest.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
