A heating plate comprises a plate body 12, a metallic mount part 16 arranged on the upper surface of the plate body 12 for mounting vessels for containing food therein and having an edge in contact with the plate body 12 airtightly sealed throughout all the periphery between the plate body 12 and the edge and a mount part-heating means 26 provided in a space part 24 formed between the mount part 16 and the plate body 1 to heat the mount part 16. The plate body 12 is provided with a communicating hole 36 through which the space part 24 communicates with an external part. In the communicating hole 36, a breathable and waterproof member 38 for closing the communicating hole 36 is arranged.
