To provide a heating rotating body, capable of effectively heating an image on a recording material in a paper passing region where the recording material passes, and also, having improved adhesion strength between an elastic layer and a surface layer thereof, in a non-paper passing region where interlayer-peeling easily occurs, and to provide an image heating device equipped with the heating rotating body.
The elastic layer 31 is formed between a base layer 30, formed on the innermost side of a fixing film 25 and the surface layer 32 formed on the outermost side of the fixing film 25; and fillers 33 for enhancing heat conductivity of the elastic layer 31 are mixed in the elastic layer 31, and the fillers 33 in the elastic layer 31 are densely distributed along the axial direction of the fixing film 25. In a heating nip portion N, the density of the fillers 33 is high in the region where the recording material P passes; and the density of the fillers 33 is low in the region where the recording material P does not pass.
