To provide a meal service heating and serving method by which warm food is efficiently served and the taste, etc., of cooked rice and soy-bean soup is not damaged by means of re-heating.
Cooked food is cooled and preserved, the food is put on plural dishes 3 and 4 and placed on the prescribed positions of a tray 1. They are covered by covers 5 and 6 so as to prepare a meal service tray 10 for each person. Then, a prescribed number of trays 10 are contained in a serving vehicle 11 which is provided with heaters 12 and 13 for heating the dishes 3 and 4 and casters 11c and the heaters 12 and 13 are turned-on so as to heat food. Plural bowls 2 having plural hollow structures and a heat insulating function, where hot cooked rice and soup are served, are placed at the prescribed positions of the trays 1 of the respective service trays 10, carried with the serving vehicle 11 and served to each person after taking-out the respective trays 10.
