Abstract:
To provide a heating tool with high convenience through the use of microwave heating (induction heating).
An iron 10 is provided with a heating plate 11 which is manufactured by mixing 60 parts by weight of silicon carbide powder with an average particle size of 80 microns and 40 parts by weight of silicon rubber, and carrying out press molding the mixture into a platy shape; and a resin-made case 13 for covering the heating plate 11 so as to form a sliding surface 12 for radiating heat from the heating plate 11. Then, the iron 10 is placed in a microwave oven to heat the heating plate 21, and the sliding surface 12 is pressed against an object for ironing, such as, clothing or fabric and irons it.
