To provide a cableless heavy hoist for construction work capable of controlling the power supply and the operation without connecting the power or a signal cable to a bucket.
This heavy hoist for construction work is constituted to lift the bucket 5 along a lifting support body (tower 2) installed in a state of being supported on a structure. This heavy hoist for construction work is provided with a power supply trolley line 20 hung along a side part of the tower 2, and the bucket 5 is provided with a power collector 26 for receiving the power from the power supply trolley line 20. Further communication signal light transmitting/receiving means (optical signal projecting/receiving units 10, 11) are mounted on proper parts of the bucket 5, a lower position or an upper position of a hoistway where the bucket 5 is moved along the tower 2, and the bucket 5 corresponding thereto.
