PURPOSE: To improve durability of a block and icy/showy road running performance by providing a sipe, extended in a widthwise direction to spread the bottom part, in the block partitioned by a main groove in a peripheral direction and an auxiliary groove in a width wise direction, and setting depth of the sipe to specific ratio relating to the length in peripheral and widthwise directions of the block, so as to prevent uneven wearing.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of blocks 7 are arranged by three or more main grooves 2, 3 in the peripheral direction and a plurality of auxiliary grooves 6 of depth equal to or less than the main groove in the widthwise direction, of a tire. A sipe 8, having a depth of the auxiliary groove or less to enlarge the bottom part in a tire widthwise direction, is provided in the block 7. When assumed I for peripheral direction length of the block, (b) for widthwise direction length and (h) for depth of the sipe 8, ridigity G of a pattern block represented by these values is formed in G=0.72×b×(I3/h3)×(1/[1+15.6×(I2/4h2)], to set dimensional ratio to a relation where 4.8<G<7. By balancing durability with icy/snowy road surface, by each dimension of these sipe and block, running performance is improved.
