Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heavy weight object supporting mechanism capable of attaining a spring balanced state that is approximately uniform in a relative long stroke range when a heavy weight object is held at a prescribed height position, thereby capable of setting the height position of the heavy weight object in a relative free manner.SOLUTION: There are provided a follower member for transmitting a spring force of a spring member to a supporting frame when a heavy weight object is supported by the spring member arranged between a fixed frame and the supporting frame; first and second cam surfaces for restricting a motion of the follower member and biasing means for forcedly contacting the follower member to these cam surfaces. The first cam surface generates a frictional force for reducing influence of the heavy weight object and the second cam surface generates a frictional force for reducing influence of spring force to enable the follower member to be moved in the extending or shrinking direction of the spring as well as a direction crossing with the extending or shrinking direction of the spring so as to control an engagement between the follower member and each of the cam surfaces.
