In heddle frame moving means, a first hook presses a first latch, and the first latch and the first hook engage. A second hook presses a second latch, and the second latch and the second hook engage. The heddle frame moving means comprises a first holding unit, a second holding unit and a control unit. The first holding unit holds the first latch arranged in an appointed position that engagement with the first hook is not performed. The second holding unit holds the second latch arranged in an appointed position that engagement with the second hook is not performed. When a heddle frame is moved from the appointed position of the first side to the appointed position of the second side for an opening direction of warp, the control unit makes the first holding unit in a state not to hold the first latch and makes the second holding unit in a state not to hold the second latch. When the heddle frame is moved from the appointed position of the second side to the appointed position of the first side, the control unit makes the first holding unit in a state holding the first latch.
