Then, high rigidity is imparted to the upper edge 2a and the deformation in this part does not arise. The heat counter 1 is suitable for the heel upper of the shoes of heel open type. The upper edge 2 of the heel counter 1 is formed thick. Since this thick part is exposed to the outer side of the heel upper, the strength of the heel counter 1 increases and the holding power of the heel increases. The problem that the upper edge of the heel counter caves in is thus solved.
