PURPOSE: To prevent scratches without marring the nice-looking of a shoe, by a method wherein the title sheet is made of thermocontracting synthetic resin, which contracts in one direction by warming, and is stuck on a heel, in being extended to both sides at a vertical center line on the rear part of the heel, and the contracting direction of the sheet is aligned with the extended direction thereof.

CONSTITUTION: As a thermocontracting synthetic resin-made sheet 5, a synthetic resin material made of macromolecular composition is used and molecular polymerization degree is selected and then a sheet compound is formed, which has one-way thermocontracting property that a coefficient of contraction in horizontal direction is larger than that in vertical direction by warming. A heel 3 is formed of a curved surface, which is complicated with concave parts and convex parts, and when the heel 3 is directly coated with the sheet compound, creases are produced on the sheet compound. The contracting direction of the sheet 5 is, therefore, set in the horizontal direction of the heel 3 so that the sheet 5 contracts in the horizontal direction of the heel 3, and the sheet 5 is cut out, and thus a heel-protecting sheet 1 is formed. When the sheet 5 is formed of a transparent compound, the nice-looking of a shoe 2 is not marred, and the flexible outer-skin of the heel 3 is protected, and thus the heel 3 is protected against scratches.
