PURPOSE: To execute a measurement with high accuracy by providing a displacement quantity setting mechanism for setting a horizontal direction displacement quantity of a movable body to a prescribed quantity determined in advance, and an operating device for calculating the inside and outside diameters of an object to be measured, from a set diaplacement quantity of a touch signal probe and a displacement quantity of a slider detected by a displacement detector.

CONSTITUTION: A titled gauge is provided with a slider 14 supported so as to be displaceable by a support 13 provided on a base 11, a displacement detector for detecting the upper and lower direction displacement quantity of this slider 14, and a supporting body 105 fitted to the slider 14. Also, this gauge is provided with a movable body 107 which is supported so as to be displaceable in the horizontal direction by said supporting body 105 and also holds a touch signal probe 146, a displacement quantity setting mechanism for setting the horizontal direction displacement quantity of this movable body 107 to a prescribed quantity determined in advance, and an operating device for calculating the inside and outside diameters of an object to be measured, from the set displacement quantity of the touch signal probe 146 and the upper and lower direction displacement quantity of the slider 14 detected by the displacement detector.
