To provide a helical antenna which uses a supporting member having as less deterioration of antenna characteristic as possible though it is formed of an insulator material with high loss property.
The helical antenna includes: a cylindrical body made of an insulator film 3; helical elements 4a-4d which are formed of a line conductor wound spirally around the cylindrical body; a ground conductor plate 1 which is arranged vertical to the expansion direction of the cylindrical body on one end side of the cylindrical body; a feeding terminal 2 which is provided on the side of the ground conductor plate and is led to each of the helical elements; and a supporting member 11 which is arranged inside the cylindrical body and is made of an insulator. The supporting member 11 has a diameter equal to the inside diameter of the cylindrical body, and it is arranged in contact with the surface of the ground conductor plate and is provided with a disk-like region 11b to be fixed to the ground conductor plate.
