Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-satellite helical antenna which is made light in weight, improves rigidity and reduces the number of production processes.
SOLUTION: A composite body 3 is formed by overlapping glass fiber cloth 1 with a flexible printed board 2. This composite body 3 is wound around a columnar metal die, heated in a heating furnace and mutually adhered by an adhesive, and the glass fiber cloth 1 is hardened and molded. Antenna elements 21 are formed on the surface of the flexible printed board 2 and these antenna elements 21 are connected so that a spiral helical antenna 5 can be provided. On the flexible printed board 2, the needle punch holes of a small diameter are pierced and the formation of a sealed air layer in the composite body 3 is avoided. Therefore, the flexible printed board 2 is simultaneously adhered as well during the molding process of a glass fiber cloth 1 to be the holding strut of the helical antenna 5, and the light and high-rigidity helical antenna 5 can be produced through less processes.
