Abstract:
To improve the efficiency of a helical antenna in the case of housing a rod antenna by providing the helical antenna and the rod antenna, which can be housed while being extended, to be capacitively coupled with this helical antenna at the time of extension and effectively utilizing the top end section of rod.
A metal piece 3 is arranged at the top end section of a dielectric rod 4 for covering a thin coil 2 consisting of the rod antenna. When the rod 4 is housed in a casing 5, the metal piece 3 is capacitively coupled with the helical coil 1 and the height of section, which is practically operated as an antenna, from the casing 5 is spuriously extended so that antenna efficiency can be improved.
