To provide a helical-shaped liquid seal type compressor that improves storing performance of sealing liquid into a compressed space, prevents a phenomenon in which the sealing liquid separates from a boss surface at the nearest contact between an impeller and the casing, perfectly seals the compressed space, and has high performance as the compressor.

In this helical-shaped liquid seal type compressor, the impeller having spiral blades forming a part of a partition of a working space is eccentrically disposed in the casing, and the sealing liquid functioning as a seal is supplied to the casing, and the impeller is rotated and operated by a driving device. The impeller has a singular or a plurality of auxiliary vanes having a shape for applying component of force to the sealing liquid to move it toward the roots of the blades.
