Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a helmet provided with functions of both a full face type cap having a wide protecting zone and a jet type cap having a large window.
CONSTITUTION: This helmet is equipped with an auxiliary cap 3 at both right and left side walls of a jet type main cap 2 having a large window 4 in such a way that the auxiliary cap is rotatably held between a dropped position to cover the lower half part of the large window and a raised position B to open whole the large window 4. The helmet is provided with a locking mechanism 39 to automatically lock the auxiliary cap to the main cap 2 at the dropped position of the auxiliary cap.
