Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly reduce a process time for hemming by completing a hemming process by rolling-pressing a bending roller only one time in order to solve the conventional problem that it is difficult to reduce a process time because a bending portion after a flange raising process is bent by about 45 degrees by preliminary bending, the posture of a bending roller is changed and the portion is rolling-pressed again carry out a final bending process, e.g. in a hemming process to be applied along the periphery edge of a door panel of an automobile.
SOLUTION: A bending roller R is rolling-pressed along a bending portion (We) in a posture in which a rotation axis R3 is inclined toward a direction of delay of a bending end (Wee) in a plain view with respect to a normal R2 crossing a rolling-pressing direction R1 at right angles. In this way, the portion (We) can be bent with the portion (We) given with a side pressure of a bending direction, and thus the portion (We) can be bent into a folding state only by a single bending process.
