To provide a hemming apparatus, wherein the working accuracy of a hemming work is raised, and the working speed is increased to raise productivity and also reliability is improved by reducing components.
There is disclosed the hemming apparatus 10, wherein the hemming work is applied to a workpiece placed on an anvil 3 of a metal bed by vertically moving the main hem punch 5a and a prebending punch 5b integrally or the prebending punch and main hem punch. The hemming apparatus 10 includes: the anvil 3 fixed in the upper part of a base 1; a vertically moving plate 5 which is provided oppositely to the anvil 3 and in which the main hem punch 5a and the prebending punch are separately vertically provided; a vertically moving mechanism E in which the vertically moving plate 5 is vertically moved by a crank device 4; a tilting mechanism F for supporting the plate freely tiltably by providing a supporting point in the lower part of the vertically moving plate 5; and a tilting/driving mechanism for tilting the vertically moving plate 5.
