To provide a hemming apparatus having a simple configuration allowing miniaturization and varying the trajectory of a bending blade according to the bending resistance of a flange.
A hemming apparatus comprises a bending blade 20 having a pressing surface 21a, a rotation shaft 30 supporting the bending blade 20 with an axis in a rotatable way, a guide 40 having a guide hole 41 restricting the rotation shaft 30 so as to be movable only within a specified trajectory, a first arm 50 with the upper end 51 connected to the rear end part 22 of the bending blade 20 in a rotatable way, a second arm 60 with the upper end 61 connected to the lower end 52 of the first arm 50 in a rotatable way and the lower end 62 fixed in a rotatable way, a third arm 70 with the tip 71 connected to the lower end 52 of the first arm 50 and to the upper end 61 of the second arm 60 in a rotatable way and, together with the first arm 50 and the second arm 60, constituting a toggle mechanism TM and a pressurization source 80 connected with the rear end 72 of the third arm 70 to draw the third arm 70 and fixed in a rotatable way in response to a change of the toggle mechanism TM.
