Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the design and standardization of a hemming device while preventing degradation of workability and increase of equipment cost.
SOLUTION: A second link 17 of a toggle link mechanism 11 is lowered together with a pre-hemming blade 39 for preliminary bending and a frame 34 having a hemming blade 37 for permanent bending by rotating a first link 15 of the toggle link mechanism 11 by a servo motor. The frame 34 is guided by a cam groove 21 when it is lowered. In the beginning of the lowering operation, an upper roller follower 33 is guided by an inclined part 25 of the cam groove 21, and the frame is turned in a swinging manner around a lower roller follower 31, and then, moved straight downwardly to perform the hemming of a work W. The pre-hemming blade 39 is retracted during the permanent bending so as not to be interfered with the hemming blade 37.
