Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hemming device capable of hemming a panel to be machined comprising an Al-Mg-Si based 6000 series aluminum alloy without generating cracks on a surface of a hem bending part and opening in a flange end part.
SOLUTION: A step part 35 in which a hem bending part 11 side forms a recess part 33 and a flange end part 12 side forms a projection part 34 is formed on a pressing surface 32 of a hem die 31. The step part satisfies X≤0.6×FL (a conditional expression 1), Y≤0.4 (a conditional expression 2), Y≥0.25×t+0.05 (a conditional expression 3) and X≥5×t-1.0 (a conditional expression 4), wherein X is the length (mm) from a position in which a tip 36 of the step part contacts to an outer panel Po to a bending tip part inside the hem bending part, Y is the depth (mm) of the step part, FL is the flange length (mm) from inside the hem bending part to the flange end part and t is the plate thickness (mm) (0.8 mm≤t≤1.2 mm).
