Abstract:
To make a roller quickly and accurately follow a flange in hemming.
A hemming unit 20 comprises a hemming roller 30 for hemming a flange 17, a first groove 52 and a second groove 54 which guide the hemming roller 30 in the elongating direction of the flange 17, a guide roller 32 which engages with the first groove 52 and the second groove 54, and a cylinder 106 which makes the guide roller 32 approach to and separate from the hemming roller 30. The hemming unit 20 is supported by a robot 22 via a floating mechanism composed of a first supporting means 126, a second supporting means 127, a third supporting means 138, and linear guides 112, 130, 132.
