Abstract:
There is disclosed a blood cell lysis reagent comprising: (i) TRIS, (ii) lithium lauryl sulfate (LLS) at a concentration of from about 4% (w/v) to about 15% (w/v), and (iii) magnesium chloride at a concentration of from about 20 mM to about 35 mM, wherein the reagent has a pH that is greater than 5.5.
