Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a herbicide microcapsule having the controlled release rate of an active ingredient, comprising a slightly water-soluble solution containing a specific herbicidally active substance as a core substance, by enclosing the core substance in a prescribed polyurea film microcapsule.
SOLUTION: This microcapsule comprises 2-[2-(3-chlorophenyl)-2,3- epoxypropyl]-2-ethylindane-1,3-dione as a core substance and is obtained by enclosing the core substance in a polyurea film microcapsule prepared from a polyfunctional isocyanate and a polyfunctional amine by an interfacial polymerization method. In the operation, an aromatic isocyanate (5-80wt.% isocyanate content) and a nonromantic isocyanate are used as the polyfunctional isocyanate. When a mixture of the core substance and the polyfunctional isocyanate is made into an oily substance, the amounts of the isocyanates satisfy equations I and II ((y) is the weight ratio of the polyfunctional isocyanates in the oily substance; (x) is the weigh ratio of the aromatic isocyanate in the total of the polyfunctional isocyanates).
