A hermetic compressor includes a thrust ball bearing 125 having a holder part 123 arranged on a frame thrust surface 115 of a main bearing 111 of a frame 108 and holding a plurality of balls 122, and an upper race 124 and a lower race 121 respectively arranged above and below the balls 122, a bearing extending part 116 of extending the main bearing 111 is arranged in inner peripheral parts of the holder part 123 and the lower race 121, and an inner peripheral part of the upper race 124 is fixed to a shaft thrust surface 128 via a fixing member 126 so as not to overlap with the upper end of the bearing extending part 116.
