To enable to determine short of lubricating oil by enabling to simply and accurately determine a detection object when an oil level is detected based on temperature.
A compressor 11 stores lubricating oil in a casing 30, sucks refrigerant, compresses and delivers the same. The compressor 11 is provided with a POSISTOR 40 for detecting temperature of lubricating oil. The POSISTOR 40 is provided at a lower limit position of lubricating oil stored inside of the compressor 11. A POSISTOR 40a is connected to an external controller via a sealed terminal 12 provided on a crown part of the compressor 11 and always detects temperature of lubricating oil. When the oil level of lubricating oil is below the lower limit position depending on a condition of an air conditioner, the POSISTOR 40a is exposed to inside of refrigerant gas. If temperature rises, resistance suddenly rises and the controller determines drop of the oil level.
