Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that iron loss in a rotator increases by as much as an increase in the area of a refrigerant passage at the sacrifice of efficiency since it is necessary to increase the area of the refrigerant passage provided in the rotator so as to reduce discharge of oil to a refrigeration cycle circuit outside of a hermetic compressor.SOLUTION: In a hermetic compressor including: an electric motor portion provided in a hermetic container 1, and constituted by a rotator 2 and a stator 3; a compression mechanism portion 4 provided in the hermetic container 1, and coupled to this electric motor portion; and an oil reservoir provided on a bottom of the hermetic container 1, 30% to 50% of a space of a lower coil end 5 is shielded with a shield member 6 provided on the stator 3, thereby accelerating collision of discharged gas and reducing the discharged oil from the compressor.
