Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a cooling lubricant from leaking out of a rotary machine in which a rotor of multilateral cross section rotates along the inside surface of a casing which is shaped as an optional curve, by enabling the swing of a holder for a sealing member fitted in the vertex of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:Corner seals 4, 13 are housed in the fitting grooves of both the walls 11, 12 of a rotor. Sealing members 5 are provided between the corner seals 4, 3, 13, 14 which have springs 17, 29, 16, 18. A rod 20 provided on a member 1 fitted with a vertex seal 2 and its spring 19 is supported with a spherical member 21 on fork-like portions 60, 61 so that the fitting member 1 can swing. The spherical member 1 pushes a holder 22 so that the fitting member 1 slides on a movably fitting wall 10. Among the elements constituting this hermetic mechanism, cooling lubricant passages are provided for the fitting member 1 having a heating part, the movably fitting wall 10 and so forth. In the groove-shaped passage, a cooling lubricant flows on the surface. In the through passage 41, the lubricant flows inside the movably fitting wall 10 and is discharged through an opening 45.
