The hermetic reciprocating type compressor 1 is provided with a first compression mechanism part 24A housed in a sealing case 20 and having a first suction pipe 31 for directly suctioning the refrigerant gas of the first pressure from a freezing cycle so as to perform compression in a first stage, a second suction pipe 35 connected to the sealing case and communicating with the freezing cycle, a second compression mechanism part 24B housed in the sealing case and suctioning the discharge refrigerant discharged into the sealing case from the first compression mechanism part and the refrigerant gas of the second pressure higher than the first pressure introduced through the second suction pipe so as to perform compression in a second stage, and an extending part 35a for preventing superheating of the suction refrigerant in the second suction pipe.
