To provide a hermetic screw compressor, in which a bearing cover incorporated with a non-contact seal can be reduced in size and also high-temperature refrigerator oil is prevented from flowing out through a gap between the bearing cover and a casing to a low-pressure side.
The hermetic screw compressor includes: a screw rotor 15 having a toothed part, a low-pressure side shaft and a high-pressure side shaft; a motor directly coupled to the low-pressure side shaft 27 of the screw rotor; a low-pressure side bearing 9 supporting the low-pressure side shaft; a high-pressure side bearing supporting the high-pressure side shaft; an oil passage 22f formed in the casing 2 for guiding refrigerator oil in the high-pressure side to the bearing 9; and a bearing cover axially fixing the bearing 9, having a contact seal 23 in an inner circumferential part thereof, and having oil passages 22g, 22h for guiding the oil from the oil passage of the casing to the bearing. The bearing cover is axially positioned by a stop ring 33 provided on an inner face of the casing; and sealing means 30 is provided between an outer circumferential part of the bearing cover and the casing.
