To provide a hermetic type compressor capable of reducing emission of oil.
The hermetic type compressor comprises: a compression mechanism 3 including a cylinder 6, a roller and a partition plate 9 arranged in a closed vessel 1; an electric motor 2 for driving the compression mechanism 3; a crank shaft 4 for transmitting a rotation force of the electric motor 2 to the compression mechanism 3; an upper bearing 5 and a lower bearing 7 tightly contacting each other from both upper and lower sides of the cylinder 6, and fixed to an inner side of the closed vessel 1; an upper valve cover 11 provided on an upper side of the upper bearing 5 at a predetermined interval; and a lower valve cover 12 provided on a lower side of the lower bearing 7 at a predetermined interval. A fin 13 is provided on a lower face of the lower bearing 7.
