PURPOSE: To provide a new compound useful as an industrial raw material for homopolymers, copolymers, synthetic fibers, synthetic resin, paints, plastics, etc., and a synthetic intermediate for agricultural chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula I, formula II, formula III, formula IV, etc., (R is lower alkyl; R1 is alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, etc.; R2 is -H, -R1, 0R1, -CHO, etc.; X is -0-, -S-, etc.). The compound can be produced by reacting an acyl isocyanate compound of formula V (e.g. methacryloyl isocyanate) with an unsaturated compound of formula A=B [A=B is vinyl ethers, enamines, N-substituted maleimides, phenyleneacetylenes, acetylenemonocarboxylic acids, (meth)acrylonitrile, quinones, etc.]. The compound of formula A=B is used in an amount of 1-30mol-equivalent based on the compound of formula V and both compounds are mixed with each other under stirring at -20 to +200°C. The compound of formula A=B is, e.g. 1-pyrrolidino-1-phenylenamine.
