NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I {R1 represents halogen or (halogen-substituted) alkyl; n is 0-3; X represents O or S; G represents formula II [Z represents, S or -N(R2)-(R2 represents H or alkyl); m and k represent 1-10; l is 0 or 1], forms benzene ring together with adjacent 2 carbon atoms, etc.}.
EXAMPLE: 2-Methyl-8-trifluoromethyl-11H-pyrido[2,1-b]-quinoazolin-11-one.
USE: A germicide.
PREPARATION: A compound expressed by formula III (A represents amino or halogen) is reacted with a compound expressed by formula IV (j is 0-4; B is mutually different from A and represents halogen or amino) or a compound expressed by formula IV.
