Abstract:
To obtain the subject new compound useful for controlling phytopathogens comprising a specific heterocyclic ring-containing N- acetonylbenzamide.
This heterocyclic N-acetonylbenzamide is a compound expressed by formula I (R1 and R2 are each H, a 1-6C alkyl, etc.; R3 is H, a halogen, a 1-6C alkyl, etc.; R4 and R5 form a 5-7C membered condensed ring containing heteroatoms such as O, S, N, etc.; X, Y and Z are each H, a halogen, cyano, etc.), e.g. N-(3-chloro-1-ethyl-1-methyl-2-oxopropyl)-2-methylbenzoxazole-6- carboxamide, or a compound expressed by formula II (D is N). The compound of formula I is prepared by reacting an aromatic derivative of formula III with an α-amino-α'-chloroketone derivative of formula IV. The compound is useful as a germicide for agricultural use and the compound itself can be applied to seeds, growth media and various objective parts of plants.
