To obtain a new oxy-phenyl-(phenyl)glycinolamide compound containing a heterocyclic substituent group, suitable as a medicament having an antiatherosclerotic action.

This compound is shown by formula I [A is naphthyl or the like; D and E are independently H, a 3-8C cycloalkyl or the like; L is a bond, a group of formula II (R7 is H, hydroxyl or the like; R2 is H, hydroxyl or the like) or the like] such as 2-(S)-2-[4 (quinolin-2-yl-methoxy)phenyl]-2- cyclopentylacetic acid (R)-phenylglycinolamide with the proviso that 2(R)- and 2(S)-2-[4-(quinolin-2-yl-methoxy)phenyl]-2-cyclopentylacetic acid (S)- phenylglycinolamide are omitted. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound of formula III with a compound IV in the presence of a base, etc.
