Abstract:

To provide a new heteropolyoxometalate compound expected to exhibit performances which cannot be achieved by a conventional heteropolyoxometalate compound.

The heteropolyoxometalate compound comprises at least one element (B) selected from groups 7-10 and introduced into a deficient structural site of a two-deficient structural site-containing heteropolyoxometalate anion (A) in which the heteroatom is silicon, phosphorus or germanium and a polyatom is at least one or more elements selected from the group consisting of molybdenum, tungsten and vanadium. The heteropolyoxometalate compound has a mono-mu-oxo site in which the mutually adjacent elements (B) bound to one heteropolyoxometalate anion are bound through one oxygen.
