To obtain the subject metal acid salts having a specific microporous structure and shape-selectively acting as a catalyst for reacting an organic compound in a gaseous phase or liquid phase.
Heteropolyoxometallates of tungsten, molybdenum or vanadium with a structurally defined micropore volume preferably so as to have 4-40 hollows along a crystallographical C axis, preferably a heteropolyoxometallate of tungsten of formula I [(x) is 8-12, when (y) is 1, or (x) is 6-10, when (y) is 2; (z) is 1-12; R is (CH2)n [(n) is 1-10] or (CH2-CH2-NH) m-CH2-CH2 [(m) is 2-6], the same metal salt of molybdenum of formula II or the same metal salt of vanadium of formula III [(a) is 1-18]. The metal acid salt is obtained by perfectly reacting a mixture of the corresponding metal with a metal oxide or the like with an amine of the formula: H2N-R-NH2, phosphoric acid or the like as a spacer at a temp. of 80-250°C under a pressure of 3-15 bar, filtering the reaction product, and the like.
