Abstract:
To provide hexagonal boron nitride powder for cosmetic having better spread and makeup lasting quality than those of conventional one and a cosmetic having markedly improved glossy feeling and feeling of transparency (bare skin feeling) of finish.
The hexagonal boron nitride powder is a plate-like aggregate obtained by lamination of flat-shaped primary particles having an average major axis of 2-20 μm and thickness of 0.05-0.5 μm. In the aggregate, the ratio of an aggregate having a specific surface area of 1-10 m2/g and passing through a sieve having an aperture of 45 μm is ≥50 mass% and the amount of soluble boron is ≤100 ppm.
