Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for production of a resin for hexavalent chromium collection, produced using an inexpensive general-purpose resin as a base material and capable of efficiently collecting hexavalent chromium from a waste liquid having that chromium as a main component.SOLUTION: A method for production of a resin for hexavalent chromium collection comprises: an immersion process of immersing a polymer base material in a monomer solution having a pyridine ring; a graft polymerization process of irradiating the polymer base material immersed in the monomer solution with an ionized radial ray and graft-polymerizing the monomer onto the polymer base material to obtain a graft-polymerized base material; and an acid treatment process of applying acid treatment to the graft-polymerized base material. Besides, the resin for hexavalent chromium collection in this invention includes the main chains of the polymer base material and the graft chains of the polymer obtained by polymerization of the monomer having the pyridine ring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
