Title:
HICKEY REMOVAL DEVICE AND METHOD FOR REMOVING FOREIGN MATTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3393918
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To promote a wiping effect and a rubbing effect so that a foreign matter is removed from a plate cylinder by controlling the relative surface velocities of the plate cylinder and an inking roller coming into contact with the plate cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: Four inking rollers 11-14 are arranged in such a state that their axial centers are in parallel with each other, and their peripheral faces come into contact with a plate cylinder 10. A first ink transfer roller 15 is arranged and rollers 11, 12 are connected to the roller 15, and further, a second ink transfer roller 16 is arranged with rollers 13, 14 connected to the roller 16. Each of the rollers 11-14 has its surface coming into contact with the plate cylinder 10 and is driven by a frictional force with the plate cylinder 10. The ink transfer rollers 15, 16 are also driven by a printing press. The inking rollers 12, 13 are connected by gear in such a manner that the surface velocity of one of the rollers 12, 13 is different from that of the other roller. The surface velocity of the roller 12 and that of the roller 13 are maintained at a fixed ratio of 1:1 or less instead of 1:1 through mutual connection.
