Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suppress changes in the quantity of light with highly accurate detection of a displacement in the position of an arc, by providing a filter between an HID lamp and a light receiver of a detection means to let light with a specified wavelength be incident into the light receiver. CONSTITUTION:A light output stabilizer comprises a HID lamp 1, an arc position detector 2, a magnetic field control circuit 3, a coil 4 for generating magnetic fields, a lens 5 and a spectrophotometer 6. Here, a filter 7 is provided between the lamp 1 and the detector 2. Out of light radiated from the lamp 1, that alone with a specified wavelength is made incident into the detector 2, which allows a higher detection accuracy of the position of an arc. This enables further lowering of a fluctuating of a light output with a higher position control accuracy of the arc, thereby suppressing changes in the quantity of light.
