PURPOSE: To carry out the data processing equivalent to that of an adaptive data processor in an easy-to-understand form by setting the value with which an output signal equivalent to the output signal received from the adaptive data processor is outputted from an output layer when an input signal inputted as the internal state value is applied to a calculation layer.
CONSTITUTION: A hierarchical network constitution data processor 20 carries out the data processing equivalent to that of an adaptive data processor 10 in an easy-to-understand form. A learning signal indicating device 30 indicates a group of input signals inputted to the processor 10 to an input layer of a hierarchical network part 21 and at the same time indicates a group of output signals of the processor 10 to a learning processor 40 against the input signal group. The processor 40 learns the internal state value of the internal connection between a calculation unit 23 and a processing unit 24 as well as the internal state value of the internal connection between the processing units 24 of the processing layers adjacent to each other in an intermediate layer. Thus it is possible to carry out the data processing equivalent to that of the processor 10 in an easy-to-understand form.
