Abstract:

To provide a means for enabling identification of a hepatocyte growth factor receptor (HGFR) antagonist accompanied by increase of sensitivity and reduction of adverse effects to develop therapeutic strategy effective for cancer therapy.

The activity, function, stability and/or expression of the HGFR can be measured by bringing a test agent to contact with (i) a polynucleotide encoding extracellular IPT-3 and IPT-4 domains of the HGFR, (ii) a polypeptide containing the domain or (iii) a cell expressing extracellular IPT-3 and IPT-4 domains of the HGFR.
