To provide high branch pruning scissors with which a large cutting force can be obtained with a small operation force.
The high branch pruning scissors include: a shaft 10; a cutting blade 20; a cutting blade-operating means; an operating wire rod 40; and an operation force-increasing means 100 which comprises a lever member 111 having a power point (A), a working point C and a fulcrum B, a lever-pivoting member 112 pivoting the lever member 111 with the fulcrum B, a cutting blade-pivoting member 113 for pivoting the cutting blade 20, a linking/fixing member 114 for linking/fixing the lever-pivoting member 112 to the cutting blade-pivoting member 113 at a prescribed distance, a link member 115 for linking the working point C of the lever member 111 with the base end part of the cutting blade 20, and a lever-guiding member 116 projectingly set up at the side from the shaft 10 to guide the power point (A) of the lever member 111 along a circular arc centering around the fulcrum B.
