Abstract:
To provide a high chromium and silicon-rich corrosion resistant steel, and use application thereof.SOLUTION: A high chromium and silicon-rich corrosion resistant steel is mainly disclosed, which mainly comprises, in weight percent, 22-30% Cr, 2-10% Si, and the balance Fe and incidental impurities, of which the total content amount of Cr and Si is less than 37 wt%. Experimental data reveal that any of many samples of the high chromium and silicon-rich corrosion resistant steel has a hardness in a range of HV170 and HV500 and a pitting corrosion potential of greater than 0.8 V. As a result, experimental data have proved that the high chromium and silicon-rich corrosion resistant steel of the present invention can replace conventional stainless steel having poor pitting corrosion (for example, 304 and 316L), and then can be adopted for manufacturing of members requiring high corrosion resistance, such as a chemical industrial facility and a process structure and a structure member.SELECTED DRAWING: None
