Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a high cold forging characteristic magnetic stainless steel combining good soft magnetic properties and corrosion resistance as well as excellent cold forgeability.
CONSTITUTION: A ferritic stainless steel is compositely incorporated with Ti and B to regulate its fundamental compsn. into a one contg., by weight, ≤0.02% C, ≤0.50% Si, ≤0.50% Mn, 10.0 to 18.0% Cr, 0.30 to 1.50% Mo, 0.05 to 0.50% Ti, 0.30 to 2.00% Al, 0.0005 to 0.05% B and ≤0.05% N and the balance substantial Fe.
